Mom and I got into a routine in which every other day we would switch between adventuring out and then relaxing. Therefore, because we had a crazy busy day yesterday doing the Honolulu and Pearl Harbor, we wanted to go back to the beach for the day. We also weren’t sure what we should do so it seemed like the best option. We didn’t know where to go that was close by and beautiful, so we ended up back at Waimea Bay.
The one downfall of Waimea Bay today was the water was not nearly as clear, probably because it had rained during the night and it shook up the ocean and the sand underneath that the water was almost a brownish color. I was excited to go back to Waimea Bay to cliff jump some more and maybe swim around, but because the water wasn’t very pleasant, I stayed on the beach the whole time, only finally going in at the end of our stay there.
We literally just chilled the whole time, it was nice but also I really wanted to do some more adventuring while I was here. Beach in the morning is lovely, but I was getting antsy just sitting around for our third beach day. We were thinking of spending the whole day there and packing a lunch to hold off the hunger and stay put in place, but quickly we realized what we had for food wasn't enough, and there was more to do and see on this island that we opted for a change of scenery.

We were routed for Hala Cafe, hungry from the small lunches we had. We both came to love this cafe, for the views, good coffee, and food. I ordered avocado toast and mom got a plate of breakfast food that looked so good. We sat at Hala contemplating how to finish off our day, settling on going back to the condo and walking along the beach at our condo because then we could do something active that wasn’t hiking.
So we walked along the beach, stopping for some photos and realizing that the beach didn’t go very far because it was stopped by some private property. So we did multiple down and backs, and called it a day. We went back to the condo, washed up and spent the night chilling. I ate another meal, still a bit hungry from earlier, and then of course we finished our night watching how I met your mother, a new favorite routine of ours.
