In between the rain I had some lovely time exploring more of the area, and here are the photos and descriptions for those sporadic events!

The morning after the boat tour, I walked along the beach with some new friends to grab a morning coffee before the rain came!

My friends and I at coffee! Look at that beautiful bowl of fruit as well, love. I had so much fun with these girls here. We chatted, laughed, and had the sweetest morning. I got to know them better and this felt like the perfect coffee bar for us! Also, cute story, this little girl came up to us to sell jewelry, and I found a cute shell necklace and got it, she also convinced my friends to make a purchase. On our way back to the hostel, we saw this girl at the shop next door eating a smoothie bowl, likely with her earnings from us, lol!

The saleswoman herself, in a Tupac t-shirt and LV sandals, queen!

After coffee, it started down pouring but my friends wanted to swim once more, even if it was in the rain. I had so much fun with them that I tagged along, but instead of swimming, I watched over our stuff in a cafe with a smoothie bowl and book.

Me saying goodbye to my sweet new friends! Crazy how close you can become in such a short amount of time. Grateful for the fun morning I had with them and now a reason to come back to the Philippines to visit!

The rain was still coming down, so I went to a fully vegan cafe and over a turmeric latte and this caramel roll, I spent eight hours journalling and documenting my stories, playing a little catch up. I got behind in the Philippines on my writing and blogging because I was constantly with people, which is the best problem to have. But, hence the delay to posting now, months later!

This is the beautiful Ver De El Nido. A fully vegan restaurant. They had so many amazing menu items and I went here for almost every meal. By the end of any trip I go on, money becomes less of a stressor, and somehow I found a justification to treat myself here each day. The place had these big windows and I would stay there and work, or I would pop over to the vegan cafe across the street. This block in El Nido was my food paradise.
After returning from my cafe grind, I came back to karaoke night hosted by my hostel. I sat with Grace and Liv, and soon enough we got roped in to sing. I chose Umbrella by Rihanna, and even got to go behind the bar and sing to the crowd in front of me. I could not believe how much this song was loved, and it was so fitting for the bad weather we had. I had so much fun performing this, and thankfully I wasn't alone singing and one of the staff joined me with her beautiful voice to carry for both of us. I chose a short video but have many from the fun time I had up there!

Yay a sunny day in El Nido after two days of straight rain! This is the view from my hostel, and I knew I had to make the most of the day, as it was supposed to be my last full day in El Nido.

Sooo, I took advantage of the sun and went ziplining! It's super cool here because you cross the ocean and go to this little island, and then zip right back. The view from the sky over the water and the mountains scattered within was wondrous.
Here's the video I took from my second zip back to my starting spot. Incredible.

After ziplining, I went down to the beach just below, and enjoyed this view at a cafe with a fresh coconut as my beverage. I called my grandma and caught up with her while starting at beauty itself.

I wanted to grab lunch in the city of el Nido and check out the beach there. It had a great view but wasn't really a swimming beach, more like a docking station for the boats. And no one was chilling on the sand, so I of course found a cafe and parked there for the afternoon.

A sunset for a treat that night! Watched it at my hostel, hung out with some girls in my room, and called it an early night because the following morning was my planned departure for my boat expedition!

Sooo, I woke up to learn my boat trip was going to be pushed back a day and I was really bummed because I was excited to get going and make it to Coron. With the free day I wasn't planning on having, I decided to go to the famous Nacpan beach, about an hour drive north of el Nido. The weather wasn't too amazing, so I took in the views from a beachside cafe along with journalling on the sand at the end. It was raining right before I arrived and was nervous to pay for a beach chair to get rained on again. It was a beautiful long beach with volleyball nets all over, sadly no players because of the spotty weather. It was a sight to see and something to do for the day, but I was ready to say goodbye to el Nido and onto my next adventure.

Finally! The next day my boat trip was on and we went to the port to depart on our three day two night boat expedition from el Nido to Coron. I was so excited! More of that to come in the next blog post.
Thanks el Nido for the memories and incredible views!
